University of Kansas Golf Teams

Design an extensive short game practice facility for the Golf Teams of the University of Kansas. The project included multiple chipping greens, cool and warm season grass surfaces and a large putting green.

For the University of Kansas Golf program, the new practice facility at The Jayhawk Club MGGD had the opportunity to work with his brother, who was an All-American for KU. With his experience as a former PGA Tour member and current PGA Tour Champions member the team designed and develop an extensive practice area covering over 30 acres of the former Alvamar Golf Course. The new Golf Team practice facility includes 3 short game greens with multiple bunkers, a new putting green covering almost 8,000 SF, a midiron target green, cool (bent grass fairways) and warm (zoysia grass fairways) and bunkering allowing for short game or even fairway practice out to the range floor.
