Design a short game practice facility to include a chipping green, wedge targets, and a putting green and rework the existing chipping green.

Located at Grand Canyon University Golf Course in Phoenix, Arizona, MGGD was brought in to develop a practice facility for the WAC Conference golf program. The goal of our design program was to develop a short game practice area on a very small – less than 1 acre – parcel in the middle of the course. We designed and developed a short game area that has separate chipping areas with shots up to 135 yards, multiple greens with green side bunkers a 6,000 sf putting green and wedge targets were also incorporated. To accommodate the amount of practice in such a small footprint we also developed a large synthetic tee pad and a separate synthetic tee line to help spread the wear and tear.
